Powder Coating

All planters from u-do-design are supplied with a tough Polyester Powder Coated Finish.

This is chosen because it's much more durable and hard waring than conventional types of painting, allows a thicker paint finish, produces less hazerdous waste and offers greater flexibility.

The process of Powder Coating involves the spraying of the planter with fine powder consisting of paint granuals, hardeners, pigments and bonding agents. When applied, the powder is done so with a gun which as the powder leaves the nozzel is given a positive charge.  The planter to be coated is grounded therefore the powder particles are attracted to it.

Once coating is complete, the grounding is removed and the planter passes in to an oven where the curing process takes place.  In the oven, the planter will be heated to a temperature of 200c for approximately 10 minutes.  During this time, the powder granuals melt and flow out adhering to the planter and the other powder agents. The planter is then removed from the oven and allowed to cool slowly prior to inspection and packaging

This system means your planter will arrive with a highly durable, hard waring finish and with a choice of 186 different colours, exactly what you wanted.
